Here, I believe the film is utilized correctly. Whats all wrong with this picture is that it is taken at about 7 foot away from the mini rose, that is to say, at the telephotos closest focusing point(and they are not built for this, they image best at about 20x the focal length on out). This exposure is with the lens stopped down to its smallest - f/32 I believe which brings out all those "Abberations". Your just not going to get a sharp image without a tripod, so it is on one. There is no sun shade which is a no no, but putting one's hand up to block the sun from the front element, and the other hand over the eypiece so that extraneous light doesn't screw with the exposure is easy enough to do. Good job NC 400.
